Square Blue (Original)

Used for the initial release of six puzzles. These are illustrated on the bottom of the box.

These boxes use the Puzzle Text label, white Wrebbit logo and the Perfalock burst.

The text is bilingual, French and English.

The legalese includes:

The Original Six includes a brief bio of Douglas Laird.

UPC number system and company code are 7 72666. One box for 20003 - The Original Six, had a sticker with a UPC code of 0 69545 20223 2.

There are two variations to the front panel, seen on boxes for "The Original Six". In both, the puzzle image is larger. One has no tab and the other has the tab cut, removing part of the image.

Square Blue (Revised)

These boxes use the Graphic (Blue) label, white Wrebbit logo and the New (Bilingual) burst.

The text is bilingual, French and English.

Front:

Two elements vary on the front panels. The first is the size of the puzzle image, which for the landscape puzzles goes either to the bottom of the panel or to just above the tab cut-out. The second is the size and shape of the tab cut-out. The more common wide cut is 65 mm with the edges of the tab being angled (Spear tab). The narrow cut is 53 mm and the edges of the tab are vertical with horizontal cuts to provide 'wings' (Anchor tab).

Square Blue (Rivalry)

This box uses the Graphic (Blue) label, the white Wrebbit logo and the New (Bilingual) burst.

It has only been found for the 20021 - Rivalry puzzle.

The blue of the box is a light shade of blue and overlays an image from 20021 - Rivalry.

Square Blue (US Flag)

This box uses the Graphic (Red) label, the white Wrebbit logo and the New (Bilingual) burst. It has an Anchor tab.

This was used for "New York Skyline" and "New York City", and probably for "Above New York". Unlike the Square Blue (US dark), there is both English and French and there is no "Commemorative Edition" banner.

The blue of the box overlays an image of an American flag.

This was used for "Above New York" and "New York City" and probably for "New York Skyline". There is only English on the box.

There is a red band across the upper left corner with "Commemorative Edition" written in white.

These boxes use the Graphic (Red) label, the white Wrebbit logo and the New (Bilingual) burst.

Cover:

The text has the word Perfalock [over] Puzzle, but substitutes the letter "u" with a puzzle piece [over] 1000. "Perfalock" is in white and is backed by a transition from light red to dark red. "Puzzle" (including the piece) are gold and "1000" is in white. A serif font is used. The red of the box is coloured in ridges, like corduroy.
